ATHÉNOR – Scène nomade de diffusion et de création – Saint-Nazaire
Athenor is a nomadic theatre implanted in Saint-Nazaire and Nantes. Within in its artistic and cultural project, the Athénor develops CH.A.T.S Programme : Chantier Arts, Technologies et Sciences (Arts, Technologies and Sciences Work in Progress). In partnership with the University of Nantes and its research laboratories, the developped artistic projects associate artists and researchers in the creation process on a local scale in relation with research, production, creation, education and practice.

COSA – COnnection between Science and Art – Montpellier University
The COSA group was born to carry out reflection and experimentation on Research, Science and Art, with a view to stimulating common projects at the crossroads of these themes. Supported by the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM) (academic research in chemistry), COSA brings together researchers in chemistry and biology, architects and staff from the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM), the Cell Biology Research Center of Montpellier (CRBM), the Laboratory of Host-Pathogen Interactions (LPHI) and the National School of Architecture of Montpellier (ENSAM).

CC91, Collectif pour la Culture en Essonne – Sainte Geneviève des Bois (91700, FRANCE)
Between arts and sciences, territory and citizenship, the ‘Collective for Culture in Essonne’ initiates collaborations between artists and scientists. Its actions (The Science of Art, Biennale of Contemporary Art, a Festival of Performing Arts, artists’ projects in schools or laboratories, organization of art-science colloquiums and a resource center promoting the pooling of territorial networks) lead to a permanent watch and transdisciplinary action in the arts sciences society field.

LA CHAIRE ARTS & SCIENCES – Palaiseau
Founded in 2017, the Chaire arts & sciences brings together the École polytechnique, the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs-PSL and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, with the aim of strengthening links between the academic world and the civil society. This unprecedented partnership between an art school, a science school and a foundation committed to civic art operates as a programme of collaborations between researchers, artists, scientists and designers, in order to create a common discourse around our interdependence to the environment: climate issues, relations to the plant world and technologies, material(s) in movement.

LA DIAGONALE PARIS-SACLAY, University of Paris-Saclay
“La Diagonale” develops a dialogue between sciences et society  and is held by the University of Paris-Saclay. Its mission is to support creation and circulation of artistic projects and animate a community of actors around the questions of scientific mediation, arts and sciences and cultural heritage.

LA REINE BLANCHE – Paris
La Reine blanche is a theater, a place of independent culture, an arts and science scene located north of Paris.The theatre holds a central place, but we share many other things: literature, cinema, music, visual arts, cooking and this a priori subject reserved for laboratories and fundamental research, Science. We consider science an integral part of culture.  In a logic of hybridization of expressive forms and decompartmentalization of disciplines, we want to seize the scientific word to make it sensitive, intelligible to all audiences, from experts to neophytes. Reine Blanche produces or co-produces several plays each year, also hosts other shows in co-direction, offers a space for young companies, scientific conferences, invited novelists, musicians, clowns, visual artists, to build programming that is both demanding and accessible to all.

LIEU MULTIPLE / ESPACE MENDÈS FRANCE – Poitiers
As a digital creation center inside the regional cultural sciences center, Espace Mendès France – Le Lieu Multiple encourages the relation between arts and sciences in the artistic and cultural field but also in relation with all the spectrum of audiences (children to seniors) and/with its territory or even with a sociological and anthropological approach. Its team works in artistical diffusion (sound creation, digital creation, arts and sciences) in a planetarium (a place of 100 seats) and other places, organize lots of residences of artistical creation, had a lot of mediation and educational propositions and actions with large audience (in particular with disabled people and the elderly (more than 70-year-old women). Co-production of projects enter in the field of action of Lieu multiple. Lieu multiple co-conducts (with the national education office, Canopé network and DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine) the PREAC, a national resources center for artistic and cultural education. Lieu multiple works with the scientifical network “Curieux!” in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine with 4 centers since 2017.

OARA, Regional Office for Live and Performing Arts of Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine – Bordeaux
OARA is a regional office for the support of Live and Performing Arts funded by the Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Its main goals are to help artists of the region to develop their projects but also to contribute and encourage a large artistic and cultural programme in the Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

FACTS, Festival arts & sciences, Université de Bordeaux
The University of Bordeaux launched in 2015 a programme for arts and sciences residencies and the biennale FACTS – Festival for Arts, Creativity, Technologies and Sciences, taking place in the Bordeaux Metropole. FACTS is the thematic biennial festival resulting from this Arts and Sciences program, a program which takes the form of artist residencies in scientific research laboratories and which aims to promote the dissemination of knowledge and stimulate exchanges between arts and sciences.

HEXAGONE Scène Nationale Arts Sciences – Grenoble Alpes-Métropole
L’Hexagone is a state labeled theater, and as such is part of the network of the 74 Scène Nationales in France. Since 15 years, l’Hexagone has developed in the Grenoble agglomeration a dialogue between artists, scientists, researchers but also in the social, educational and economic field.
In fact, since 2003 with the Biennale Experimenta, and since 2007 with the Arts and Sciences workshop initiated with the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission). The Scene nationale founded also an Arts and Technologies workshop with the department of arts and literature of the University of Grenoble within an agreement with the Ministry of Culture and the CNRS.

LE CITRON JAUNE, Centre National des Arts de la Rue – Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône
Between the river and the Mediterranean Sea, between Camargue nature and port industries, there is a corner of the world that attracts and inspires artists… It is there, in Port Saint Louis du Rhône that Le Citron Jaune welcomes artists and companies all year long for times of creation. Both a national center that listens to the world and a local equipment, it receives regional, national and international companies each season and maintains close relationships with local partners. Le Citron Jaune is active in many networks : creativity of territories, women’s rights, social and environmental transformation, art / science and transversality of the arts and disciplines. It is about inscribing the street arts in the realities of the territory by creating new modes of dialogues between artists, their works and the populations, by an important work of mediation, and formation and through several programming times : Saison Arts en paysages, Carrément à l’Ouest, Conversations Arts / Sciences and Les Mercredis du Port.

PASSERELLE ARTS SCIENCES TECHNOLOGIES – Albi
Created in region Occitania in 2016, Passerelle Arts Sciences Technologies makes a commitment in the production, the circulation artistic projects in connection with the scientific domain and the digital technologies which highlight the current problems of artistic, esthetic, as much as societal, order. Passerelle works in the emergence of a research and application space, training and networking in transversal and interdisciplinary dynamics.

LA SCÈNE DE RECHERCHE, ENS Paris Saclay – Gif-sur-Yvette
Opened in 2020, the Scène de Recherche (The Research Stage) is a structure directly linked to the École normale supérieure Paris Saclay. It is a research, creation and training platform with a professional theater space. It is housed in Renzo Piano’s new building on the Saclay Plateau at the heart of a scientific community of 60,000 students, 11,000 researchers as welle as 275 laboratories which forms the leading French scientific community of world rank. Its mission is to initiate a wide range of experimental formats at the intersection of scientific research, artistic creation, and technological and social innovation. The Scène de recherche organises research-creation residencies and workshops, offers training leading to diplomas, proposes an artistic and cultural season, with performances, meetings and debates open to the general public. Its partners are the University of Paris-Saclay, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Ircam, the Paris Philharmony, the Némo Biennial and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation.

SIANA, Resource center for digital cultures – Evry
SIANA was created in 2005 at the initiative of computer sciences and technologies engineering schools which activated confrontations between teachers, researchers, managers and digital artists in a time where they were arguing around the DADVSI Law (author rights law).
SIANA is hosting residencies for artists, seminars and workshops between artists, students, researchers and offers some teaching classes. The resource center is also very active in the digital-inclusion and education for all, around arts, technologies and society.

THEATRE DE LA VILLE – Paris
The Théâtre de la Ville, located on Place du Chatelet, is a multidisciplinary venue (theater, dance and music). It is a major institution of promotion and international recognition. It also has a second venue, in the north of Paris, the theater of Abbesses. Since 2016, due to its renovation, it is installed at the Espace Cardin, located in Concorde. The theater of the City programs about a hundred different shows per year.
Beyond the shows, many bridge projects are set up: international projects, health&culture alliances, art&science projects, culture&education, art&sport.

LE QUAI DES SAVOIRS, Toulouse
Quai des Savoirs is a new Centre for Scientific, Technical and Industrial Culture and Knowledge in Toulouse where scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, engineers, students, non-profit organisation, schools, medias… meet, share and discuss. The aim is to question and to understand the present in order to take a better grip on our future. Quai des Savoirs offers a wide range of activities from public exhibitions to start-up incubation, including artists-in-residency, workshops, makerspace, multimedia studio, science Café, and le Quai des Petits – a place for kids aged 2-7.

THEATRE DE LIEGE – Belgium
The Théâtre de Liège is one of the Centres Scéniques de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (Belgium). To this designation can also be added Centre européen de création théâtrale et chorégraphique (European Centre for theatre and choreography), relating to its role in theatrical and contemporary dance productions and their diffusion for local, regional and international audiences.
At a time where technologies invest more and more the society and where the art seems concern with the question of creative technologies and digital culture, the Théâtre de Liège and its academic and industrial partners of the Euregio Meuse-Rhin ; Supported by the cooperation program Interreg V Euregio Meuse-Rhine, Wallonia and Deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgiens, launched a new project called IMPACT (International Meeting in Performing Arts & Creative Technologies). IMPACT is the unprecedented alliance of art, research and industry at the heart of one of the most innovative regions in Europe. Transfrontier, Transectorial, Transdisciplinary, IMPACT transgresses all borders. The challenges are unlimited, the opportunities countless.

VÉLO THÉÂTRE, Scène conventionnée – Apt
The Vélo Théâtre, located in Apt (84) is an Object Theatre stage labeled by the French Ministry of Culture. As a genuine house of artists, it supports creation through residency and companionship.  Vélo Théâtre also develops an all year-round program of international and local projects open to the public, as well as two regular Festivals: “Greli-Grelo” – an Object Theater Biennial and “Le Campement Scientifique” – an Arts and Sciences event.
